the man behind the mustache

Today I was fortunate to meet and nosh with the surprisingly mustache-less Burrito Eater man himself, Charles Hodgkins.  He is friends with a couple of my friends, which led to the initial LinkedIn email introduction, which led to our three-months-in-the-making breakfast meeting this morning.  I was truly humbled in his presence – he’s a happily working writer, started a popular and successful foodcentric website, and seemingly lives life on his own terms – but he also seemed genuinely as interested in me as I was with him.  Go figure.  He got me fired up,  offering encouragement that I must be tenacious in writing.  Do it every day.  Even if it’s pittance.  When I got home, I not only cracked open my book notes, but also made plans to make one of my favorite home-cooked burritos – chicken, sauteed radish, chipotle, lime and avocado.  Ah, the pith of the mustache strikes twice.
