bread and tulips

This afternoon I watched a movie, Bread and Tulips.  It’s about a wife/mother who inadvertently gets left behind on a holiday tour and decides not to go back to her staid life so she settles in a strange (albeit, romantic Venice) city, somewhat reinventing herself.  I’ve often dreamed about chucking my life here in San Francisco, finding a small town with a “looking for help” sign in a bakery window.  Too many responsibilities, aging parents, lack of funds, and no car keep it to what it is – just a dream.

So it goes, “The old dreams were good dreams; they didn’t work out, but glad I had them.”
