mac daddy

It has been one of those weekends when I have absolutely nothing planned.  No particular places I need to be, no chores that need to be done.  I am the master of my own little universe.  Wind is blowing outside now at about 21 mph, which has been the norm pretty much all day, preventing me from enjoying most outdoor activities so decided to stay in.  Feeling a bit cheesy, thought today would be the perfect day for some mac ‘n cheese.  After hearing so much about Alton Brown’s baked mac ‘n cheese, I thought I’d try it out.  Made with organic elbow macaroni, and Tillamook Vintage White Extra Sharp Cheddar, it made for a wonderful dinner dish tonight (along with a glass of buttery chardonnay), but’ll keep getting better in the next few days as the flavors settle in.  I’m looking forward to leftovers for lunch tomorrow!
