I’ve got the blues and that ain’t bad

baby-blues-sf-002 This afternoon I was innocently    perusing through Zagat for a new place to stick gfork in when I came across a sight to behold.  Could it possibly be true?  Were my eyes deceiving me?  Goodness gracious great balls of fire!  The BBQ gods were looking after me after all.  Baby Blues BBQ, my favorite joint for all things ‘cue has come to San Francisco.  One quick phone call to Bruce (okay, a text message) and we were sooooo there.  baby-blues-sf-001

Now, if only the food served up on Mission Blvd. can be as good as Venice Blvd., I’ll be golden.  The smoky scents were the same.  The menu was the same.   The waiters were friendly as ever.   The plate in front of me looked familiar – a 1/2 rack of baby backs, corn on the cob slathered with cotija, next to a bowlful of grilled okra.  I hungrily stared down the plate for a minute before I snapped up a small morsal of meat that fell off the bone , popped it in my waiting mouth and I could have sworn I heard angels sing – I was instantly transported to hog heaven.
